There is quite a commotion in the mountainous region of Ha Tinh due to a remarkable banana tree that measures over 2 meters in length and bears an impressive 350 bunches.
About four weeks ago, the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Le Hong Phu, along with Mrs. Dam Thi Loan, located in the Son Hong commune of Huong Son district in Ha Tinh province, became a popular destination for numerous curious visitors. The reason behind their curiosity was the magnificent sight of a banana tree in its full bloom, attracting an astonishing crowd of over 350 individuals.
The family claims that they have acquired a unique type of banana, which was brought in from the northern region for experimental purposes approximately one year ago. Interestingly, the banana enclosure measures over 2 meters in length, whereas the tree’s trunk is quite petite, standing at a mere 3.5 meters tall and measuring only 30 cm in diameter.
According to Ms. Loan, in order to avoid the banana from toppling over, the family constructed a sturdy pillar to provide support. At present, the initial clusters of bananas have started maturing, while the blossoms beneath them are still in the process of blooming.
According to Loan, the maintenance of this particular type of banana isn’t any different from other varieties. Simply cultivate it in a cool and moist environment for the tree to flourish. Loan also mentioned that the banana flowers will keep developing, and it is estimated that the tree will yield around 500 clusters of bananas.
As per the family’s account, the banana flowers are still in the process of blooming, and they anticipate that the tree will produce approximately 500 clusters of fruits.
According to Mr. Pham Van Nam, who serves as the Chairman of the Son Hong Commune People’s Committee located in Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province, the occurrence of bananas with numerous clusters like this is an extraordinary event that has never been witnessed in the region before.
